Decarbonization of our plants

As part of Moeve’s global commitment, our goal is to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 55% by 2030 and achieve Net Zero (Scopes 1 and 2) by 2050.

To achieve this, Moeve Chemicals works to incorporate lower-carbon energy sources and use that energy as efficiently as possible. Beyond reducing our emissions, decarbonizing our processes allows us to offer low-carbon products to our customers.

Waste circularity

We pursue continuous improvement in waste management, reducing the waste sent to landfills and incineration. Our corporate goal: increase the circularity of our waste by 50% by 2030.

Pioneering technologies

Thanks to the use of Detal® technology at our Puente Mayorga plant for LAB production, we have reduced over 1,100 tons of waste per year.

At the Palos de la Frontera plant, 100% of our biological sludge is valorized, avoiding landfill disposal.

Strategic reuse

Whenever possible, we repurpose operational waste for use in other industrial activities.

Responsible water management

We promote sustainable water management, especially in areas facing water stress. Our global objective is to reduce water withdrawal in these areas by 20% by 2025, using 2019 as the baseline.
