Its high purity and nature as a C14 linear alkane make it particularly suitable for applications that require a solvent with a slower evaporation profile than n-C10. It is used as a solvent in printing ink formulations, in degreasers thanks to its ability to efficiently remove fats and oils, as a component in agrochemical products including herbicides and insecticides, and in other industrial applications that require a high-purity linear solvent.
