    Phenol

Phenol is a hydroxybenzene widely used in the industry. It is one of the most versatile and essential intermediate products globally, playing a key role in numerous chemical synthesis processes.

At Moeve, our customers can choose from different types of phenol based on their needs: Phenol, Phenol RES, Phenol Flex, Phenol SPS-PC.

    • chemistryHydroxybenzene.
    • chemistryPhenol is obtained by splitting cumene hydroperoxide with sulfuric acid.

The main use of phenol is the production of bisphenol A (BPA), a fundamental component in the manufacture of polycarbonate and epoxy resins. It is also essential in the production of caprolactam, within the nylon 6 route, and in the production of phenolic resins. In addition, phenol is used in diverse sectors such as insulation, coatings, medicines, disinfectants and even food additives. Depending on its specific application, we offer one type or another of phenol.
