NEXTLAB-R550-L

NextLAB-R550-L is a linear alkylbenzene (LAB) that incorporates certified renewable raw materials and maintains the same technical specifications as its fossil counterpart PETRELAB 550.

In addition, our production plants have the ISCC PLUS certification system, which identifies and guarantees sustainable production from the product source to delivery, using the material-balance methodology. 

It is offered in two versions, depending on its renewable raw material content: 68% and 100%, as well as having a low content of 2-phenyl isomers (15-20%).

NEXTLAB-R550-L is mainly used as a raw material for the production of sulfonic acid (LABSA) through a sulfonation reaction that is neutralized to produce sodium linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS), the main anionic surfactant used for the formulation of biodegradable detergents. It is also used in dishwashing liquids and other household cleaners, as well as in a wide range of applications in other industries.
